IN CAMERA, 2003-05
The images are meant to stimulate us to question notions of familiarity and evoke the contingent character ever so present, as we attempt to perceive our surroundings. The large scale of the prints allows the images to project their idiosyncrasies in greater detail and also enhances the physicality of the objects in them, heightening their significance. As a result, the formal quality of the picture frame is also enhanced, and its abstractness reinforced.
